A T I  TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills)

 

General Information

The ATI TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) is designed specifically to assess a student's preparedness entering the health science fields. The ATI TEAS test is comprised of 170 questions set up in a multiple-choice format with four-option answers. Questions are designed to test the basic skills you will need to perform in class in the areas of:

Reading, Math, Science, and English and Language Usage.

Where and when can I take the TEAS exam?

TEAS examinations are offered through TSU Testing Center throughout the year. The TEAS is a computer-based exam and is administered on the Main Campus, Holland Hall, Academic Testing Lab, 310. The exam schedule is posted each semester at www.registerblast.com/tsu/Exam.

TEAS REGISTRATION PROCEDURES:

STEP 1: Visit our online registration system website, http://registerblast.com/tsu/Exam for exam dates and to pay the $23.50 Administration fee through our convenient online payment system. Select ATI TEAS-Nursing from the "Choose a Group: dropdown menu and follow the prompts to complete your registration. (Note: Exam fees must be paid through the online payment system).

STEP 2: You must create an account through www.atitesting.com BEFORE your test date. Once you access the site, click the "Create an Account" option in the upper right hand corner and follow the ATI instructions to create your ATI account. In step 4, select TN STATE U ADN. Please know your ATI username and password before arriving to test.

STEP 3: The $58.00 test fee is payable to TEAS by credit card or debit card on the day of your exam. Be sure you know the correct billing address associated with the card you wish to use or the system will not accept your payment.

ID REQUIREMENT:

You must present a valid state/government. issued photo ID, a TSU student ID and your ATI username and password. If you fail to present valid identification, you will not be allowed to test.

There are study guides and practice tests available on the ATI website.

KERS WITH DISABILITIES

Pursuant to the Americans with Disability Act, the TSU Testing Center will provide reasonable accommodations to individuals with a documented disability. It is recommended that students request accommodations at least two weeks in advance with Disability Services. EXAM RETAKE POLICY

The ATI TEAS may be repeated after a mandatory 2-week waiting period from the date the last exam was taken. The ATI TEAS exam can only be taken three times in a 12-month period. You must also pay the registration fee in order to take the exam again.
