Our Faculty![]() You’ll find our faculty involved everywhere learning happens, everywhere they can be of service—from collaborating with professional colleagues at other universities on topics such as fetal alcohol syndrome research and helping to secure funding for a Chair of Excellence in Supply Chain Management to investigating wireless network security issues. They also coach athletic teams to conference championships and debaters in forensics to national recognition. They form partnerships with leading educational organizations to strengthen K-4 math instruction, provide course materials in new formats like podcasts or YouTube videos, and focus on your education as their top priority.

TSU's Rich Olympics History
Tennessee State University has a rich Olympic heritage involving the TSU Tigerbelles.
Coach Ed Temple - Former TSU track Coach Ed Temple, who was the head coach of two Olympic teams, was selected as a member of the 2012 class of the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame. Read more.
Also, a statue of Ed Temple is constructed at the Nashville Sounds’ ballpark which is intended to provide the most exposure for the legendary Tennessee State women’s track coach.
