Student Achievement Measure (SAM)

The  Student Achievement Measure (SAM ) is designed to offer a more complete picture of student progress and completion in higher education. It addresses the limitations of traditional metrics that often underreport student achievement due to the increasing mobility of students across institutions and state boundaries. SAM tracks students who transfer between colleges and universities, allowing for a more accurate assessment of their educational journeys.  SAM is supported by six sponsoring associations including the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU). The American Council on Education (ACE), and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU).
