Student Organization

 

American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
The ASCE serves students at Tennessee State University so that students meet together, meet with professionals, and be involved actively in the design, construction and racing the concrete canoe competitions in the South East Region. Other competitions include balsa wood bridge, concrete strength, environmental engineering, geotechnical, surveying, T-Shirt design, etc.

Scholarships are available from the Nashville branch for students who are active in this society, having good grade average and demonstrate a need.
 
Kentucky-Tennessee Water Environment Association
Design for student with interest in environmental engineering. Scholarships are available for Tennessee and Kentucky residents with good grade point average, interest in environmental engineering and demonstrate a financial need .
 
Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
The Student Chapter of SWE on the campus of Tennessee State University is very active in encouraging women to achieve their full potential in the field of engineering and science.
 
National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)
The TSU chapter of NSBE seeks to uphold the mission of the largest student-managed organization in the country which is to "increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community."
