Complete Your Degree In 3 Years

Degree In 3

Program Overview

The Degree-In-3 program provides an opportunity to complete your college degree in three (3) years instead of the traditional four (4) years. Earning your degree in 3 years will allow earlier entry into graduate school or the workforce. Participation in the Mini Semesters is required to meet your goal of graduation in 3 years. Mini-semester scholarship opportunities are available so that you can save money.

Currently, DI3 does not include every major, but taking advantage of TSU's mini-semesters could help you accelerate your graduation. We are actively engaging with academic departments to add majors to the program.

Selection Criteria

Recruitment for Degree in Three is only limited to incoming, first semester Freshmen. First Time Freshmen who have a cumulative 3.25 high school GPA and scored higher than a 22 composite on the ACT (1100 SAT) will be invited to the program. If you did not take any entrance tests, you must have a 3.4 high school GPA to be invited. Students who do not meet these criteria can be invited if a 3.0 minimum GPA is attained after your first term of enrollment.

Retention Standards

To remain in DI3, you must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA to stay in the program. This is so that students can be eligible for Mini Semester courses that can be used to assist in completing this degree in 3 years. If your GPA falls below 3.0, you will be given a warning and required to complete an action plan to improve your GPA.
