Project Scope:
The goal of this project is to simulate a Virtual Environment that provides a realistic model of the physical world. In this environment we are focusing on the ocean as it exists with all its natural attributes. The ocean environment includes different components such as an island with habitants, sky, harbor and various vessels sailing in the ocean.
These various components inside the ocean environment conduct many activities, actions, and events creating a complex natural scenario. This simulation of the virtual environment is helpful for variety of surveillance application which is relevant to both Homeland security and various civilian applications. This task of creating the virtual Environment was accomplished by using IRIS comprehensive intelligent software for robotic imaging and sensing application.
Research Applications:
Developed models can be applied for Battlefield Intelligence, Homeland Security applications, Border Monitoring and many other civilian applications.
