Student Employment Opportunities
Resident Assistant (RA) Applications are accepted for the new Academic year during the period of February-March. Selections are made and announced each April. We open the application up in October for any Spring RA vacancies. If you are interested in working and serving in a RA position, check the website for the open application dates.
- 2.5 GPA or Higher
- Be enrolled as a full-time Student
- Must have lived on campus for at least one semester
- Must have at least 30 + credit hours
- Must be in good judicial standing

Please remember to compile your recommendation letters (one recommendation must be from a TSU official, the other can be from a family friend, pastor, community member, etc.), resume and cover letter for the interview step. Students who are awarded an interview will receive information regarding their application status by March 15th for the new academic year and October 30th for the spring semester with interviews to follow.
Resident Assistant JOB DESCRIPTION
Graduate Assistant (GA) Applications are accepted each semester for fully admitted graduate students. This is a live-on position with the following desired qualifications:
- Must be fully admitted to Tennessee State University in a graduate degree program
- Prior Residence Life and Housing or related experience
- Clear Criminal and Student Conduct Background
