Biographical Sketch
Mr. Rodrigo Alves is a Senior Software Engineer and Instructor in Residence at Tennessee State University, where he teaches undergraduate courses in Python and Generative AI as part of the CodePath program. Prior to joining TSU, Rodrigo spent over 18 years at Microsoft, leading the design and development of real-time, distributed systems in Azure, including Azure Stream Analytics.

His professional interests include low-latency system architecture, performance optimization, memory management, and AI infrastructure. He is passionate about teaching and mentoring, and brings his industry experience into the classroom to prepare students for real-world software engineering careers.
