A Message from the Assistant Dean

Greetings Tiger!

The Office of Student Activities and Leadership (OSAL) is home of the Student Government Association (SGA), special events and programs, student led organizations, leadership development, and fraternity and sorority life. The Office of Student Activities and Leadership is committed to the student experience and we are dedicated to providing transformative opportunities of engagement.

At Tennessee State University, we encourage all students to become involved with registered student organizations and student leadership. This is a way to develop life-long skills and create memories with friends that will last a lifetime. While you are actively engaged in campus programs and activities, we highly recommend creating a Co-Curricular Transcript via the Tiger Print platform. This resource will support your academic matriculation at Tennessee State University and beyond.

In addition to joining registered student organizations and being actively involved in student leadership. We also encourage all students to attend athletic events, pep rallies, and distinguished speaker series. As you may have noticed, the Office of Student Activities and Leadership strives to provide engagement to meet the various needs of our students.

For more information or ways in which you can be involved, please browse our webpage or stop by the Office of Office of Student Activities and Leadership and speak with a member of our staff.

Message from the Student Government Association President

Greetings Tiger Family!

Think Work Serve, the brand of a Tennessee State University Tiger!

I am both humbled & honored to serve as the 80th Student Government Association President for the 2020-2021 academic school year. My vision for the students of Tennessee State University is to drive both the TSU community & surrounding communities to higher levels by exemplifying effective leadership. This vision can be executed by you continuing to be innovative, persistent, talented, and creative. This vision can also be executed by re-establishing the importance of Foundation, Student Engagement, and Inclusion. Those are 3 important keys to achieving this goal.

Each branch of the Student Government Association has strategically planned for this academic school year and I believe each classification will greatly benefit from the programs, initiatives, etc our student leaders have organized. Be sure to follow SGA on Instagram @tsusga to stay up to date with events, programs, scholarships, etc.

Although we are currently in the midst of a global pandemic, the Trailblazing 80th Administration is eager and vows to serve the needs of the student body to the best of our ability. We expect each of you to hold us accountable in our respective positions, as we will do the same for you, to ensure every TSU Tiger succeeds.

Please remember, the Trailblazing 80th Administration is standing alongside the student body and we are here to support in any way possible. If you have any questions and/or concerns throughout the duration of the academic school year, please email us @ tsu.sga80@gmail.com and we will be sure to get back with you as soon as possible.

We have Entered to Learn, so always remember the brand of a Tennessee State University Tiger!

With Tiger Pride,

Dominique Davis

80th Student Government Association President
