Staff Senate 2025 Fall Forum - The Staff Senate Fall Forum was held December 12, 2025 this year. Along with general discussion there was an unveiling of Chair Candace Brown's vision for the Staff Senate, a recount of the history and necessity of the Staff Senate by founder Debra Alexander, and a Staff Professional Development discussion by Provost Robbie Melton. Attendees were able to meet and fellowship with their senators before and after the event.

The Staff Senate will be hosting another "Caught You Caring" event with the C.A.U.G.H.T Initiative on February 19th at the TSU Staff Appreciation Basketball Game. We encourage all staff and faculty to support TSU Athletics and attend the Women's and Men's Basketball games.

The "Caught You Caring" initiative, was designed to spotlight our hard-working, dedicated staff members here at TSU. This ongoing campaign aims to identify, engage, and highlight the staff members who represent the very essence of "service," that is synonymous with our historic campus! In the inaugural event, held February 27th, 2025, the Staff Senate partnered with TSU Athletics to provide 50 pairs of basketball game tickets and TSU Swag bags to TSU staff members who were identified by their peers and who were "Caught Caring," within different elements of their daily work. Honorees were highlighted in the Caught You Caring Lookbook: Spring 2025 Edition . Recently, the Staff Senate's Emplyee Recognition Committee (ERC) has rebranded "Caught You Caring" to #TSUCAUGHT , with the C.A.U.G.H.T. Acronym standing for "Creativity, Advancement, Uplifting, Growth-Oriented, Heart, Transformative."
