Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing

ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE IN NURSING (AASN) PROGRAM

At its November 21, 2019 meeting, the TSU Board of Trustees approved the TSU administration's request to discontinue the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AASN) program. As a result of this action, applications are no longer being accepted for the AASN program. The program will graduate its last class Spring 2021. Please monitor the website for updates related to the BSN program. All programs remain approved and accredited. If you have questions, please contact Dr. Maria Revell, Interim Executive Director, at 615-963-5251.

The Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Program (AASN) prepares graduates to work as registered nurses (RNs) in a variety of select patient care settings. The program is offered on the Main TSU Campus and the Avon Williams Campus.

Upon successful completion of the AASN program required courses and the comprehensive exit exam requirement, the student is eligible for graduation and the NCLEX-RN licensure examination.
