Steve King
Commercial Music Ensemble, Graduate Assistant
Steve King is a professional keyboardist who has toured and recorded with some of the biggest names in Nashville including Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Big Kenny, John Rich, and Michael Omartian. Most notable was his 4 years touring as keyboardist for Keith Urban from 2003-2007. As a session player, Steve can be heard on recordings by Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Big Kenny, Thompson Square, and Katie Armiger among others. In addition, Steve has performed extensively on television with appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien, American Idol, Ellen, The Today Show, Good Morning America, AOL Sessions, and Austin City Limits, as well as performances on the ACM Awards, CMA Awards, CMT Awards, and Billboard Awards.
Steve has attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts and Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee where he received his Bachelors Degree in Commercial Music Performance. Currently Steve is working on his Masters Degree in Music Education at Tennessee State University and teaches one of the commercial ensembles.
