Marty Crum
Commercial Guitar, Music Appreciation
Marty Crum is a professional musician, sideman, teacher and bandleader and has performed throughout the U.S.A. on Guitar, Electric Bass and Banjo in musical settings ranging from symphonic to bebop to bluegrass and from concert halls, pit orchestras, and festivals to radio, TV and recording.
His extensive teaching experience includes Morehead State University (Kentucky), Cincinnati College - Conservatory of Music, and Nashville's Belmont University. Currently adjunct faculty at Volunteer State University in Gallatin, TN as well as Tennessee State University in Nashville. Mr. Crum's publications include The Jazz Guitar Workbook and VIP Guitar instructional video.
Marty currently plies his trade as freelance "guitar for hire" in the Nashville and Middle Tennessee area and can frequently be heard performing with the "Best Band in Town" , The Sotto Voce Trio, MartyGras, various Jazz Groups and other miscellaneous musical ensembles for large corporate as well as small private events.
