Jessica Lee Tennessee State University Nashville Music Cello

Jessica Lee is a professional cellist and teacher with a Master of Music in Cello Performance and a Certificate in Arts Administration from the University of Colorado Boulder. Jessica Lee currently serves as director of the Tennessee State University Orchestra and teaches music appreciation.

As an avid music educator, Lee has held orchestra director positions with award-winning string programs in addition to teaching positions with summer youth orchestra programs in Kerrville and San Antonio, Texas. She has served as adjunct professor of cello at Schreiner University and as principal cellist of Symphony of the Hills in Kerrville, Texas. Her performance experience includes solos with orchestras as well as recitals and chamber music performances in Colorado, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Alberta, Canada. Jessica Lee has attended prestigious music festivals on scholarship and most recently attended the Evolution of the String Quartet Program at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Canada and the Kent Blossom Music Festival at Kent State University in Ohio. During her graduate studies in Boulder, Colorado, Lee served as a mentor with the Greater Boulder Youth Orchestras and a member of the Boulder Symphony. Currently, in addition to serving on faculty with the TSU Music Department, Lee also teaches private lessons and plays cello with the Jackson Symphony.
