Welcome to the School of Graduate & Professional Studies at Tennessee State University (TSU).

Established in 1912, TSU is a comprehensive, urban, co-educational land-grant institution offering a diverse array of programs, including 27 master's degrees, 9 doctoral programs, and 15 certificate programs in fields such as biological sciences, nursing, computer information systems engineering, psychology, agriculture, public administration, curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, and physical therapy.
Our beautiful Nashville campus comprises two locations: the 500-acre main campus, situated in a serene residential area along the Cumberland River, and the Avon Williams campus, conveniently located in Nashville’s business and government district. Together, these campuses encompass eight colleges and schools.
Since 1941, we have been authorized by the Tennessee Board of Regents to offer graduate degrees, with our inaugural graduating class in 1944. For over eighty-five years, TSU has served as a beacon for individuals aspiring to make a meaningful impact in their fields.
