Congratulations to Veronica Matar , this year’s recipient of the James R. Bullock, Jr. Scholarship, awarded by ASHRAE Region IV to students pursuing mechanical or architectural engineering. This $5,000 scholarship holds special meaning for us at Environmental Air Systems. It’s named in honor of James R. Bullock, Jr., our former president, whose vision helped shape the foundation of who we are. His legacy lives on not just in the systems we design and deliver, but in the way we invest in the future of our industry. Veronica, an architectural engineering major at Tennessee State University, found her passion through a fluid mechanics course and went on to serve as president of her school’s ASHRAE chapter. Her drive to improve the industry aligns closely with the kind of innovation we foster at EAS. “Being the recipient of the James R. Bullock, Jr. Scholarship has truly been an honor and such a great blessing in my journey . . . it motivates me to be a better leader and pursue a career where I can make a real impact in my passion for designing smarter HVAC systems that integrate advanced, efficient and sustainable energy.” Through students like Veronica, our impact continues, and the future of engineering looks bright.
