Retta Guy, Ed.D., has an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis in Instructional Systems Design from the University of Kentucky, an M.P.A. in Public Administration from Kentucky State University and a B.A. in Business Education from the University of Kentucky. Currently, she is serving as Associate Dean for the College of Business at Tennessee State University. As an active author, Dr. Guy's scholarly publications include an authored book entitled "The Digitally Disinterested," two edited books entitled "The Evolution of Mobile Teaching and Learning" and "Mobile Learning: Pilot Projects and Initiatives," 6 book chapters, 40+ articles, and 10 refereed proceedings to date. Dr. Guy's intellectual interests include the use of digital technologies to augment teaching and learning, instructional design and assessment, as well as distance learning with specific emphasis in hybrid, online and mobile teaching and learning. Her research has been supported actively by grant funding on both the state and federal levels in areas which include student retention and course redesign initiatives. Dr. Guy has served on a number of academic editorial boards and is currently on the board of directors of the Interdenominational Services Organization of America, Inc. whose mission is to empower women, youth and aspiring professionals for business and entrepreneurial success on the global economic platform. |
