Dr. Cheryl Seay

Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs and Global Online

Dr. Cheryl Hogg Seay is currently serving as the Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Academic Affairs and Global Online at Tennessee State University (TSU). In her role as AVP, she serves as one of the senior academic officers at the University and reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA). With over twenty-five (25) years of post-secondary education professional & administrative experience, Dr. Seay’s primary responsibilities include advocating and advancing the academic interests, quality, and vision of the University in collaboration with the VPAA. She also oversees the distance education (DE) programs at TSU, managing and implementing DE policy in coordination with the academic units, and managing the implementation of technology-based solutions in support of on-ground, hybrid, hyflex, and online courses / programs. Dr. Seay holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee State University and the Ph.D. and M.S. in Instructional Systems from Florida State University.
