Tennessee State University offers a well-rounded benefits package for employees and their families.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • New hires must complete and submit ALL benefits enrollment forms within 31 days of your hire date. 
  • If you are newly eligible for benefits, you must submit your benefits enrollment forms within 31 days of your eligibility.
  • For Special Qualifying Events (i.e. new baby, marriage/divorce, loss of coverage), you have 60 days from the date of the event to submit your benefits enrollment forms.
  • Even if you are eligible for benefits but choose not to enroll, please complete the Enrollment/Change form and select 'Refuse.'  Also, please complete the Beneficiary forms.  The University provides a basic term life policy to all employees.  See the Basic Life Insurance Handbook below for details.
  • Please review your benefits deductions on your pay stub  to ensure accuracy.
