Workloads

  • Graduate assistants are required to work 20 work hours per week. Graduate assistants can only hold one graduate assistantship at a time.

Assistantship Requirements

Graduate assistants are expected to abide by the following requirements:

  • Unconditional acceptance to the graduate school and degree program.
  • Prior to the start of the semester, students must participate in an orientation session.
  • GAs are expected to perform their duties in person.
  • A minimum enrollment of 9 credit hours for the Fall/Spring semesters or 6 credit hours for the Summer term is required for GAs.
  • Attendance at monthly mentoring sessions is mandatory for GAs.
  • GAs must maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0.
  • GAs must submit signed contract.
  • GAs are required to work 20 clock hours per week in person.
