Program Compliance
Workload Requirements
- All Graduate Assistants MUST work 20 hours per week IN PERSON
- There are no virtual or remote work options
- Graduate Assistants may only hold 1 assistantship at a time per university policy
Assistantship Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for a graduate assistantship, students must:
- Have unconditional acceptance to the graduate school and degree program
- Enroll in a minimum of 9 credit hours for both Fall & Spring semesters
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Master's students are eligible for up to 2 years maximum of support
- Doctoral students are eligible for up to 4 years maximum of support
Program Expectations
Graduate assistants are expected to:
- Attend mandatory orientation prior to the start of the semester
- Complete & submit a signed assistantship contract along with supporting documents annually
- Perform all duties in person, adhering to the 20 hour weekly requirement
- Attend monthly mentoring sessions & meetings
