Tennessee State University’s research farm is on Ed Temple Blvd., adjacent to the main campus.

It includes a pavilion where we host a variety of events, including the  Annual 
Farmer Recognition and Small Farm Expo
the third week in July. This year's
event will be a 2-day event to expand and include Urban Agriculture on Wed.,
July 18th and the Small Farm Expo on Thursday, July 19th. Look for updates.

We also have an Agriculture Education Center on the farm that
hosts college classes and community events.

There is ongoing research done in the greenhouses, as well as in the fields.

TheThird Tuesday Field Days   are monthly workshops dedicated to serving the small or beginning farmers.
Each year we provide timely topics for these workshops with expert speakers/presenters, along with hands-on opportunities, demonstrations, and adequate time for networking and consulting with the speakers.

Each workshop has a nominal registration fee, which includes a catered lunch, drinks and supplies.

Please preregister to allow for proper planning.
