WHAT DOES THIS OFFICE DO?

Working with our team, helps to secure funding for various programs and initiatives at TSU from corporations and private foundations. We want to assist the TSU community in understanding the process so that we spread the capacity for grant and gift seeking beyond the Office of Corporate Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives.

We look forward to working with you and learning about your interest in a partnership with a company or foundation, and we enjoy learning about the various projects and initiatives on campus. We hold open houses on the first Friday of every month from 9-11 a.m. We are also available for individual appointments or to speak in group settings.

WHERE IS THE OFFICE OF CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS AND STRATEGIC INITIATIVES LOCATED?

Our suite is located on the main campus on the third floor suite 310, of the Floyd Payne Campus Center.

HOW DOES THIS OFFICE WORK WITH THE TSU FOUNDATION AND ALUMNI RELATIONS?

The Office of Corporate Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives is a very small team of professionals working with corporations and private foundations. The office also works collaboratively with the TSU Foundation and Office of Alumni Relations.

WHAT KIND OF PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS CAN THE OFFICE ASSIST WITH?

The Office of Corporate Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives stands poised to learn more about the project, program or research for which you seek funding. We aim to offer a realistic assessment of its chances of being funded by a particular company or private foundation, based on a number of influences, to maximize your chances for success.

IF I AM WORKING WITH A CORPORATION OR FOUNDATION, SHOULD I CONTACT THE OFFICE?

Yes, please share with us any contacts you have with a company or foundation, even if the relationship does not necessarily involve grant proposals or gift funds. While we encourage everyone to develop direct relationships, we do need to have a complete picture of TSU’s overall relationship and to occasionally help manage simultaneous requests of the same company or foundation.

Recognizing that each circumstance is different, we will discuss ways in which we can, or even should, be involved. Sometimes, we will simply provide you with any insight we might have, including the company’s or foundation’s historical relationship with TSU.
