Parking Permits & Lot Parking

Disability Placards
Parking has been made more convenient through the availability of hourly paid options in designated lots throughout campus. Visitors have the option of paying $1 an hour or $5 a day Mon-Fri from 6am to 6pm. Parking permits are valid from September 1 to August 31 of the following year. Parking permits for the new academic year are available for sale during the last week in August. The cost of one parking permit for students is included in tuition fees. Employee parking permit is $120.00 for general permits, $300.00 for reserved permits and $300.00 for gated reserved permits. Note: Reserved and gated parking spaces are limited. Please
contact the Parking Services office
for availability of reserved or gated parking spaces and if desired, to be added to the waitlist.
Free parking
is now available for faculty and staff who choose to opt out of purchasing an annual parking permit. These designated areas are located in Lots UU, Z, and at the Incubation Center downtown, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis until full. You will still be required to register your vehicle in the parking system and select the free faculty and staff option. Once these lots reach capacity, you will be required to purchase hourly or daily parking by scanning the QR code below and selecting your intended parking lot.
Hale Stadium parking lots may be preempted for events, especially home football games, special events, and commencement.

The University requires all students, faculty or staff who have a state-issued disability permit to obtain a Tennessee State University-issued disability parking permit. Both permits must be properly displayed when parking on campus.

Signs will be posted at the entrance to the affected parking lots at least 1 day in advance, with the date(s) of the restriction. Vehicles will be ticketed, and may be towed, if they remain in the parking lot after the posted restriction begins.
Payment can be made online (instructions below) or at the Cashier's Office, located on the 1st floor in the
McWherter Building.

Personal checks, money orders and cashiers checks only. DO NOT MAIL CASH.
The citation number, located in the top right corner of the ticket, must be printed on the check/money order or the ticket must be included with payment.
All vehicles parked on campus must have a campus parking permit and must comply with the state registration requirements.
