New Program Encourages Campus Unity

TSU TV News 98 (10/6/10) There's a new drive for unity on TSU's campus this year. TSU-TV News 98's Danielle Berkley has the story of "One TSU".

TSU TV News 98 (10/6/10)  Tennessee State University Students start the semester with troubles getting connected to the internet on campus. TSU-TV News 98's LaKesha Hutchinson has the story.

President Melvin Johnson To Retire From Post By Year's End

Dr. Melvin Johnson is retiring as the President of Tennessee State University, effective Jan. 1 2011.

The announcement came from the TSU Board of Regents Wednesday. Johnson was named president of TSU in March of 2005, replacing James Hefner.

Before joining TSU, he was provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Dr. Johnson will not be completely leaving the university though.  Johnson will transition into a position as a tenured professor in the College of Business at TSU during the coming year and will return to the classroom in fall 2011.
