"Mahgoub Mahmoud is professor of sociology; former director of the university’s office of international relations; a former social affairs’ adviser of Sudan; research officer at the Gambia African center for democracy; a founder and president of the Sudan human rights’ organization in Cairo, Egypt, and its bilingual quarterly. His publications include extensive works in English and Arabic on Africa and human rights; state bureaucracy, politics and religion; law and Justice in Islam; and Arabic translations of American research on Nubian archaeology and cultural anthropology and Sudanese law and society. Dr. Mahmoud is a multiple year honoree in who’s who among America’s teachers and who’s who in America."
