Checking Out Books

Books may be borrowed for three weeks. Fines are 10 cents per day, per book. On the sixth day after the book is due the fine will be 60 cents. Courtesy overdue notices are sent to patrons only one time. At the end of the month, if you have overdue materials, a hold will be put on your account. You will have to clear your record before you can register for classes or graduate.  Books can be renewed online by using My Login feature in the online catalog.

Please note that students, faculty and staff must have a University ID in order to check out materials. A maximum of 10 books may be checked out at a time by undergraduate students and 20 by graduate students.  Visitors to the library may check out materials if they have a Tennessee Driver's License. However, they are limited to four books. Renewals may be done by telephone. Materials found in reference, reserve and special collections are limited to in-the-building use only.

Circulation closes at 11:45 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 4:15 p.m. on Friday, and 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. Please observe these closing times and allow time for checking out materials.
