-Technical guidance or independently conducting exceptionally difficult research
-Review, appraisal and interpretation of experimental results
-Prepare publications
-Prepare presentations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Software tools for automated image analysis
-Expert level knowledge of windows software and architecture
-Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs
-High resolution TEM and STEM imaging
-Specialized ultrastructural procedures (immune-electron microscopy, serial sectioning, negative staining, particle counting, microwave processing)
-Perform periodic maintenance on instruments and minor repairs as needed
Maintain accurate department records, supply inventories and departmental purchase records
-Consultation with investigators regarding the special nature of their projects and determine wheather projects are suitable or adaptable to examination
