• Visit the application page  and complete application form
  • Pay the non-refundable application fee ($40)
  • Provide copies of photo ID, high school diploma or higher and contact information
  • Receive the Letter of Admission from the IEC
  • Provide the bank statements + affidavit of support or financial guarantee form the sponsor and health forms
  • Receive Form I-20 from the IEC
  • Apply for appropriate visa
  • Attend visa interview at the local U.S. Embassy
  • Arrive in Nashville, TN


  • Take the IEC Placement Test
  • Receive the email from the IEC on courses and levels on offer
  • Send email to the IEC to indicate the courses you enroll

*F1 and Full-time students have to take all the courses at assigned level


  • Receive confirmation on enrollment and weekly timetable
  • Pay tuition or provide financial statements (late fees apply)
  • Attend orientation and campus tour
  • Complete IEC forms
  • Get TSU ID cards, parking permits and special instructions for classes
  • Start classes


  • 100% before the 1st day of classes;
  • 75% beginning the 1st day of classes through the 5th day;
  • 25% beginning the 6th day of classes through the 10th day;
  • No refunds after the 11th day of classes.

*If the courses are cancelled by the University, the student is refunded in full. If a student is dismissed or suspended following a disciplinary action, no refunds are issued.
