Dr. Tang, a native of China, worked as a TV anchor and editor. She received her doctoral degree in communication from the School of Media and Communication at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She focuses her research on the creation and dissemination of the narratives/discourses about the experiences of in computer-mediated environment. Her research interests also include visual communication, discourse and rhetorical analysis, and critical cultural studies. Dr. Tang's teaching area includes public speaking, interpersonal communication, communication theory, small group communication, and intercultural communication. Dr. Tang is member of National Communication Association. Her research has appeared in Journal of Asian Pacific Communication.
