Practice Editing Your Web Page


Use the following instructions to practice editing your web page. Don't worry. You can't cause any harm.

On #6 of the steps below, practice doing each item. And see how it goes.

 

Edit Existing Web Page(s)

(including the right-hand boxes and leftnav)

1. Pull up your web page in a browser window (Firefox or Chrome).

2. Look at the bottom of your webpage in the footer and click the link labeled “Last Modified…”

3. A screen pops up. (Note: If you get the error screen, just click the link(s) to continue.) - View how to continue through messages

4. Login to OU Campus (using your normal network login & pass). -How to login to OU Campus

5. You will see small green edit buttons for each section of the web page:

a) leftnav

b) page title

c) page content

d) right-hand box #1 (maybe)

e) right-hand box #2 (maybe)

Click the 3rd-like green edit button so you can edit the main content area of the page.

6. Make your edits following these instructions: 
how to edit leftnav | how to upload document | how to insert image | how to make a link | how to delete files/images | how to do other things |

7. Save (Save button is in the upper left of Page Editor).

8. Review your changes to ensure you have no mistakes.

9. “Publish Now” (green button at top).

10. Click “Publish” button (another small “publish” button at the bottom).

Your change will now be live on the TSU website...and the system furnishes a link at the bottom for you to view your webpage. SO DO SO...AND SEE HOW IT LOOKS!
