Why I Love TSU: "Tennessee State University is one of the best schools that this nation has to offer. I could not envision my college experience at any other institution. After only one visit to TSU, I instantly fell in love with the campus, the family atmosphere and programs and services that would be offered to me. TSU is a Historically Black College/University that is rich in history and gives its students the tools and resources to compete on local, national and international platforms."
Most Memorable Experience as a Student Leader: "Becoming the first female president in 7 years has been the most memorable experience for me. Upon running for this position, I received an overwhelming amount of support from the student body. Many of which have been young women that have conveyed to me that I have been an inspiration and role model to them. Encounters such as this continue to fuel me to be a better woman and servant!"

Being the ear to listen, a support system, an encouragement, a shoulder to lean on and a voice that stands for the students surpasses every struggle that I have ever faced in my collegiate experience. It is bigger than any program that I have created because someone's life is touched and people remember how I made them feel if they ever forgot my name." |

You can’t walk across the land of golden sunshine without someone embracing you with a hug and hello. I love TSU for that. A family is a group of people that stick together and support one another, TSU does just that. Not only does one feel the genuine embrace of their peers, but the monumental history that is engraved in this campus is what makes TSU, The TSU. This University has shaped doctors, athletes, lawyers, artists, engineers, and many more to be the great success and legends they are today. Students and faculty are filled with knowledge, determination, and leave with everlasting pride that can never be tarnished. I love TSU because it’s like a second family to me." Most Memorable Experience as a Student Leader: "When I was a freshman at Tennessee State University, I entered the Robert N. Murrell contest and took home third place in the freshmen category. The following year, I tried again as a sophomore, and won first place over all. In those moments, I realized that in order to receive the full HBCU experience at TSU, you have to get up and try. Winning the annual oratorical contest was so humbling to me because not only was it was reassurance that I attend a rich, fruitful H.B.C.U.; but that I was able to use my voice as a platform to speak about TSU and what excellence the University has done for so many, just as an underclassman."
