School of Nursing

Caring, Collaborative, Diverse, Ethical & Holistic

Nursing: a local, national or international profession

Our society is in need of skilled nursing professionals to serve our changing population. At TSU, you'll learn to intervene to meet patient and family needs under the direction of faculty members who are dedicated to your professional advancement. Learn to communicate effectively with both clients from diverse backgrounds and your professional healthcare colleagues, while making a difference in the lives of others.

All nursing programs at Tennessee State University are fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission on Education in Nursing, Inc. and are approved by the Tennessee State Board of Nursing.

Our programs provide an excellent opportunity to be well prepared to take the NCLEX-RN licensing examination or National Certification examinations and to apply your nursing education to positions in hospitals, health care clinics, schools, businesses, and industry, or serve individual clients as you make a significant contribution to the healthcare services in your community.

The School of Nursing has purposefully infused our core values into every one of our nursing program(s) in order to produce such qualities in our graduates.
