Tennessee State University's Department of Human Sciences faculty provides resources in Nutrition Education & Food Safety, Child Development & Parenting, Emergency Preparedness, Youth Development, Community Gardening and Faith-based initiatives. We provide Tennesseans with or refer them to the best information possible in gaining access to resources in the state that will better their lives. The department will offer provide other food service resources including a listing of local food banks, food pantries, and outlets where local residents can go to pick up food.
