Root Phenotyping

Root System Architecture and Nodulation research

 Soybean Root    RSA wheat

Root system architecture is a vital part of the plant that has been shown to vary between species and within species based on response to genotypic and/or environmental influences. In this project we are using a high-throughput phenotyping system for screening different plant species for variations in their root system architecture under different environmental conditions. We are also using this system for nodulation differences in soybean accessions.
