QEP 2.0

Creating TSU's 2020-2025 Quality Enhancement Plan

ExcellenceTSU is working to develop its second Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), which will be submitted to the SACSCOC in early 2020.

QEPs have been a requirement for SACSCOC accreditation since 2007. The SACSCOC website currently provides summaries for over 800 QEPs, including TSU's 2010 QEP, titled WRITE.

The QEP standard (Principle 7.2) of the SACSCOC Principles of Accreditation reads:

The institution has a Quality Enhancement Plan that (a.) has a topic identified through its ongoing, comprehensive planning and evaluation processes; (b.) has broad-based support of institutional constituencies; (c.) focuses on improving specific student learning outcomes and/or student success; (d.) commits resources to initiate, implement, and complete the QEP; and (e.) includes a plan to assess achievement.

During Spring 2018, TSU's QEP Topic Research Committee will be working with our faculty, staff, and students to identify the area of student learning or student success that will serve as the focus for our QEP.

A campus-wide forum presenting related institutional research and exploring potential QEP topics will be held in the E.T. Goins Recital Hall (Room 174) of the Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, January 9, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. All faculty and staff are encouraged to register and participate.
