A BIT OF HISTORY: The Digital Electronic Computer was invented in late 1930s by Professor John Vincent Atanasoff at Iowa State University in Ames Iowa USA. The first digital electronic computer built was named ABC (Atanasoff Berry Computer). ABC had limited data storage capacity and computational speed. Today computers, in addition to processing innermost volumes of data incredibly fast, operate from simple machines, like washing machines, to highly sophisticated machines like the NASA's space Shuttle. The fastest super computer can carry out up to sixty operations per second. The world of business, industry and manufacturing are highly dependent on computers. The computer communication has reduced the whole planet earth to a single entity. It is claimed that ,"the computer science is all science".
