You’ll find our faculty involved everywhere learning happens, everywhere they can be of service—from collaborating with professional colleagues at other universities on topics such as fetal alcohol syndrome research and helping to secure funding for a Chair of Excellence in Supply Chain Management to investigating wireless network security issues. They also coach athletic teams to conference championships and debaters in forensics to national recognition. They form partnerships with leading educational organizations to strengthen K-4 math instruction, provide course materials in new formats like podcasts or YouTube videos, and focus on your education as their top priority.
Our alumni—from cell phone microchip inventor Jesse Russell, Johns Hopkins cardiac surgeon Dr. Levi Watkins, and Nashville Citizens Savings Bank and Trust President/CEO Deborah Cole to children’s book authors Fredrick and Patricia McKissack, Wesley Industries President/CEO Delbert Mullins, and Alabama Supreme Court Associate Justice Ralph DeCook—make you proud to join their ranks upon graduation.
