Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

February 12, 2004

Present:  William Boadi, Janet Finch, Harriette Insignares, Hope Oliver, Rodney Stanley

              I.      Call to Order:   Meeting was called to order at 2:05 p.m.

           II.      Approval of Minutes:    Stanley motioned to approve minutes.  Boadi seconded.  Motion carried.

         III.      Correspondences:        Oliver motioned to accept correspondences for the Senate meeting agenda.  Finch seconded.  Motion carried.

        IV.      Senate response to Dr. Shute’s proposal of Research Incentives and re-organization plan:          Oliver motioned to accept as an item for Senate meeting agenda.  Finch seconded.  Motion carried.

           V.      Committee reports:       Finch motioned to accept committee reports as agenda items for the Senate meeting.  Stanley seconded.  Motion carried.

        VI.      Guest Dr. Luke Powers:  Enrollment Management Plan: Boadi motioned to invite Dr. Luke Powers to the Senate meeting to speak on enrollment management.  Stanley seconded.  Motion carried.

      VII.      Update on Faculty Handbook-Dr. Denise Dunbar:        Oliver motioned to have Dr. Insignares follow up with Dr. Dunbar on the status of the faculty handbook.  Stanley seconded.  Motion carried.

   VIII.      Other business: There was no other business.

        IX.      Adjournment:    Meeting was adjourned at 2:35 p.m.
