Poster Requirements

Print and bring your poster to the meeting
Please submit an abstract with small picture of poster for publishing
Poster Size is set at 24” x 36”. Posters will be displayed on table tops, mounting media provided.
Choose among the following fonts: Calibri, Helvetica, Arial, and Times New Roman
Title is centered, Bold-font, minimum of 48-point font.
Authors/project directors are listed beneath the title in 32-font, with affiliations
Below the authors is the NIFA Award number - 28-font
Logos may be used on either side
Content to include Abstract or short summary, Objectives, Activities with pictures, Outcomes / graphs

Layout & Aesthetics

Pictures no larger than 6” x 7” and no smaller than 4” x 6” with captions
Graphs clearly identify the axis, legend displayed, Title centered at top.
Fonts for graphs range in size between 18 font and 28 font.
The key message is clear & concise. Avoid unnecessary details. Remember graphical elements such as balance, symmetry, rhythm, repetition, and change.
All text should be readable from 4 feet away.
Use bold fonts, dark letters on light backgrounds and use color carefully. Bright colors can easily fatigue the reader.
