Tyler Vazquez is a junior Molecular Biology Major, Philosophy and Chemistry Double Minor within the Dr. Levi Watkins, Jr. Scholarship Program on the Pre-Medical Track. He hails from Charlotte, NC, and Winston-Salem, NC. At Tennessee State University, he has had the honor of being one of the Co-Community Service Directors for the Honors College Council, the Treasurer of the nationally ranked HCASC Quiz Bowl, a GLSEN Freedom Fellow, a Point Foundation Scholar, a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, an HIV/AIDs researcher at Meharry Medical College, and a member of the #1 HBCU Speech and Debate Team. Amassing a cumulative 4.0 GPA, he aspires to enter an MD/Ph.D. program after graduation, with plans to pursue psychiatry and epigenetic research. He enjoys choir and musical theatre in his off time. He would like to thank the Council for extending their open arms to him.
