Research is one of the three key responsibilities of faculty in the College of Business, the other two being teaching and service. Most of the research conducted in the College is for articles to be publishes in scholarly peer reviewed journals, with an emphasis on areas particular to a faculty member’s teaching field. An impressive array of such articles is published each year in a wide range of journals. Specific information on titles of articles and the journals of publication can be seen by reviewing information presented under each of the academic departments of the College, i.e., Accounting and Business Law, Business Administration, Business Information Systems, and Economics and Finance. Also, a major focus of applied research conducted in the College is the Office of Business and Economic Research (OBER), where faculty members have the opportunity to be involved with research staff in economic impact studies, community assessments, international trade and the like.
