Empowering Adults Actively Involved in Students' Lives
Activity-driven Sessions
Family Empowerment Sessions are offered throughout the year through both the in-school and out-of-school models. Family Empowerment Sessions are implemented through a series of activities, such as:
- the parent café,
- family workshops,
- family nights,
- and family STEM days.
Parents and other family members are given access to effective STEM strategies and NASA resources that will assist them in effectively working with their children, as well as, access to cutting-edge emerging technologies.
Access to Online Learning Resource Center
Parents and family members also have access to the SITES-M/MUREP STEM Online Learning Resource Center. This online resource center provides students, parents, and teachers with educational resources needed to succeed in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math. The online resource center provides resources on STEM careers, STEM challenges, science games, math games, homework tutorials, teacher/parent resources, STEM professional development, NASA careers, and other resources.
