Jing Yan, Ph.D.

Dr. Yan is currently the Research Associate Professor and Director of Grant Services of College of Engineering at Tennessee State University. She got her Ph.D. from Jackson State University in 2018. She has been assistant and associate professor in Nanjing Forestry University from 2008 to 2023. She teaches academic writing, second language acquisition and material science English. Her expertise is in engineering education, underrepresented student’s development in STEM education, data analysis using SPSS and discourse analysis, artificial intelligence, and human-computer interaction. Dr. Yan is the author or co-author of 20 peer-reviewed papers and principal investigator or co-principal investigator of more than 17 major research grants.
