This course builds on the language presented in Beginning I and continues to emphasize everyday communication. You will add to your list of everyday practical words, phases, and sentences that will help you communicate with native speakers. You will begin to use the future tense. At the end of this course, you will be able to deal with practical real-life situations such as ordering food and drinks in a restaurant and ask for a number of items in a grocery store, shopping at clothing stores, at the pharmacy, comparing prices and items.

You will be comfortable telling time, understanding and giving directions when finding your way around in a town. You will be able to talk about your job, your leisure activities, and what there is to see in your city. You will also begin to speak about the near future and express your likes and dislikes.
