2013 Research Symposium

INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTER SESSION
Use the following dimensions  as a guideline for sizing posters for display at the TSU Research Symposium:

Maximum Dimensions:   Height - 48 inches                Width - 46 inches

All posters will be assigned a poster number.  The assigned number should be placed in the upper left corner directly above and left of the title.  The heading for the poster should be made with lettering at least one inch high to display the title and the authors.  Illustrative material must be large enough to be read by attendees from a distance of no less than three feet or more. Lettering on illustrations should be bold and at least 3/8” high. The poster should be arranged in a logical sequence (introduction, materials and methods, results, and conclusion). The author is responsible for posting his/her material .  Participants must supply mounting materials – tacks, push pens or Velcro (hook side). Absolutely no tape or staples!

Online Pre-Registration
Online pre-registration for both oral and poster presentations will begin March 15, 2013, and end March 22, 2013.  To pre-register, visit the website: www.tnstate.edu/research/symposium and click Pre-registration in the left-side navigation area.

On-Site Registration 
On-site registration for Oral and Poster Presentations will follow the schedule below:

Poster Judging
All student posters, Graduate and Undergraduate, are part of the competition.  Posters will be judged for organization, appearance, technical procedures employed (when applicable), and overall presentation.

Graduate posters will be judged on Thursday, April 4, 2013, 9:00 am – 11:00 am.
Undergraduate posters will be judged on Thursday, April 4, 2013, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.

Presenters must be present with their poster at the designated judging time in order to be judged and to be considered eligible for the competition.

Removal of Posters
ALL POSTERS MUST BE REMOVED BY:  4:00 P.M. on THURSDAY, APRIL 4, 2013.
