Yifei obtained her master degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, majored in Applied Economics. Her research interest focuses on the city growth in developing countries. Her master thesis is an empirical study of the factors that promote city growth in China. By examining two dynamic externalities, she finds that diversity promotes city growth, and that policy plays a very important role in the city development. Before came to U.S.A, she worked as senior manager assistant in Ningbo Best Textile Co., Ltd, one of the largest sewing thread manufactures and exporters, as well as a major garment accessories exporter in China. She jointed the Office of Business and Economic Research in Set. 2004. The projects she is working on now are: assisting Dr. Ray’s research on health care industry of Middle Tennessee; evaluation of Avon-William campus’s fair share of revenue; analysis of HOPE VI Preston Taylor Revitalization Evaluation Study.
