Shute has a bachelors degree in Mass Communication obtained at Tennessee State University. She is currently a research assistance for the Office of Business and Economic Research part-time while also working as a journalist for the Urban Journal, the leading African American newspaper in Nashville.
Her duties include; serving as the liaison between the OBER and the
Metropolitan Development Housing Authority, collecting and filing
information to compile into databases, creating databases and assisting
in the evaluation of the HOPE IV Project.
