Membership             

Membership in NAIT is open to all individuals, firms, institutions, and organizations interested in promoting the objectives of the Association. NAIT has professional and student members at over 500 community colleges, universities and companies throughout the U.S.

NAIT Membership classifications include Professional ($60), Retired ($30), Student ($15), and Organizational ($240). The membership year for all membership classifications is 12 months from the date an application and payment is received by the NAIT Office. Members are mailed up to 3 membership renewal invoices in the months surrounding their membership anniversary date and need not apply for membership again in order to renew their NAIT Membership.

Membership is available in four primary divisions, Community College and Technical Institute (CCTI), Industry, Student, University and five Special Interest Divisions: Electrical, Electronics and Computer Technology, Graphic Communications, Manufacturing, Safety and Research. NAIT members are allowed to choose one primary division with their paid membership, and may designate one special interest division at no extra charge. Additional primary division and special interest division membership costs $15 each.

NAIT also has four focus groups (Administration, Construction, Distance Learning/Internet and Technical Management) which members may join at no charge, depending on their interests and specialization. Focus groups and special interest divisions have their own presentation and activity tracks at the annual NAIT convention.
