Pilot Centerfor AcademicExcellence in Intelligence Studies (PCAEIS) OUTREACH -- Academic Excellence in Global Intelligence Studies (AEGIS)
AEGIS Summer Camp: Tennessee State University Pilot Center for Academic Excellence in Intelligence Studies is hosting a prestigious summer camp focusing on intelligence studies. This highly competitive, all expenses paid program, is for rising-junior and rising-senior high school students demonstrating superior scholasticism, character, and leadership skills. AEGIS provides juniors and seniors opportunities to explore different aspects of the Intelligence Community (IC) as well as insight into IC related careers. Tennessee State University is one of the original four pilot programs in the nation. Each year the PCAEIS recruits exceptional students to attend the camp. Only 16 boys and 16 girls are chosen each year . AEGIS camp graduates receive a $250 stipend upon successful completion of the program. The camp offers AEGIS participants instruction in critical thinking, logic, problem-solving and ethics using case studies, short research programs, regional and cultural studies, and a field trip for a team-building activity.
