Pre-College and Summer Programs

AFRL Robotics and Sensors Camp (full for 2009)

This program targets 20 high school students with an emphasis on math skills development through robotics. Students are engaged in science, math and programing through robotics-related activities to enhance their curiosity and skills.  Students participate in 5 weeks of day-long activities during the summer.
2009 dates: June 1 - July 2, 2009.

College Bound (CB) - Grades 9 - 12, for youth from Ohio

Engineering Concepts Institute (ECI) - for High School Graduates

General Motors Engineering Technology Institute (GMETI) (full for 2009)

General Motors Engineering Technology Institute (GMETI).  Students in Grades 7 and 8 are engaged in science, math and engineering related activities to enhance their curiosity and skills.  This goal is met through enhancement classes, interaction with positive role models and laboratory experiences.  Students meet for 5 weeks (half days) during the summer.
2009 dates: 8:30am - 12:30pm, June 1 - July 2, 2009.

Minority Introduction To Engineering (MITE) - Grades 10 - 12

Raytheon Engineering Science Academy (RESA) (full for 2009)

Raytheon Engineering Science Academy (RESA).  Students in Grades 3-6 are engaged in science, math and engineering related activities to enhance their curiosity and skills.  This goal is met through enhancement classes, interaction with positive role models and laboratory experiences.  Students meet 5 weeks (half days) during the summer.
2009 dates: 8:30am - 12:30pm, June 1 - July 2, 2009.

 Summer Transportation Institute (STI) (full for 2009)

Summer Transportation Institute (STI).  Students in Grade 9 or 10 in the Fall of 2009 are engaged in science, math and transportation engineering related activities to enhance their curiosity and skills. Students live on campus for 4 weeks during the summer and are encouraged to pursue transportation related careers in science and engineering through the enhancement of study skills (Math, Science and English), contact with engineers, engineering students, and mentors who serve as positive role models and build and enhance positive self-esteem.
Dates are June 1- June 27, 2009.
